Faith issues

No not my own faith issues but those people of faith who feel confused by what we do, and how we can do it and still maintain that we are Christians.   Last night while surfing I came across Joey's Pad http://llcooljoe01.blogspot.com/ I don't know much about Joey but the discussions triggered by an e-mail asking the question "how can you do what you do and still be a christian when I have been taught that you will all go to hell" (I paraphrase) has caused a lot of comment.    It makes me realise that there is an awful lot of intolerance out there on both sides of the fence, there is a lot of mud slinging but in amongst it some very insightful, sensitive responses.

If you are interested in this subject then take the time to read these and also drop in and take a look at http://www.lightinthecloset.org/

By the way can anyone tell me how I can put up links without having to show the whole address?

Hi thank you for the shout out, yes I sure have received a varied set of comments, and I've appreciated them all.

Yes the way to get a link without putting the whole address is you just highlight the word you want to have as the link eg. Paula's Place and then got to the link button and put the url that you are linking to in the space shown.

Hope that makes sense!

Do this, Paula: Type the name of the link, such as "Light in the Closet". Highlight it and click on the link icon in the blog entry window. A window will pop up for the URL--put in the appropriate info, in this case, "http://www.lightinthecloset.org/". Hit OK and you should now see the words "Light in the Closet" marked as a link. If you click on that link, you should be taken to the site.

As for the substance of your post, I always ask people who cite the Leviticus condemnations of things like homosexuality and cross-dressing if they wear clothes with wool and cotton mixes? Or believe the appropriate punishment for adultery is public stoning? Or forgive all their debtors every seventh year? All those things are just as important in that book of the Bible as the verses about sex and sexuality. Why do these people think only those verses matter any more?

If only I had realised that it was so simple, but you know what they say - "Only if all else fails, read the instrcutions"
